Before booking a semi permanent makeup treatment, please carefully read through the contraindications below. Some pre-existing health conditions can impact the results from SPMU treatments or carry some risks. If any of these apply to you, please contact the Brow Industry team before booking an appointment. We also recommend seeking advice from your doctor.

• Pregnant or Breastfeeding​
• Diabetes
• Epilepsy
• Auto-immune disease
• Currently taking blood-thinning medication
• Blood disorders such as hemophilia, sickle cell anemia, and platelet disorder
• Keloids or hypertrophic scarring
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Using Cortisone, Steroids, Retin-A, Renova, or Accutane (or have done in the six months previous)
• Coumadin or Heparin (please get written permission from your doctor if you are using these)
• Chemotherapy (please wait at least six months since your last treatment)

SPMU Eyeliner

Please note we cannot perform SPMU eyeliner treatments if you have a stye, red-eye, or pre-existing eye condition.

SPMU Lips

Please note we cannot perform SPMU lip treatments if you currently have herpes or a cold sore. You must take an anti-viral prescription before and after your SPMU treatment if you have a history of cold sores. Please seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.​
